How to reel?

I have a baitcaster and i have no idea how to reel in. i know how to cast but when i hook on a fish it will stay on for hours...?

it should just click into gear when you turn the handle. Then start cranking away. you will have to turn a little harder at first to get it to kick over and then it should be very smooth.
